Canada’s TC Energy laying off staff

Reuters exclusively reported that Canada’s energy infrastructure company TC Energy was planning to cut jobs, just a week after Suncor Energy unveiled plans to lay off 1,500 jobs. A spokesperson for TC Energy told Reuters that the company was downsizing to optimize its business. TC shares rose 1.1% backing a decline in the broader Canadian share market.
