US nicotine pouch fast-track scheme slowed by worries over youth, new users

Reuters exclusively reported that approval for popular nicotine pouch products was being held up in the United States despite a fast-track Food and Drug Administration scheme. Philip Morris International ‘s shares fell more than 7% after Reuters published its story, while Turning Point Brands, ⁠which also has applications related to two pouch brands under the pilot, plunged over 17%.
