Apple turns to hardware veteran Ternus as CEO to succeed Cook in AI age

Reuters was ahead of competition to the news of Apple naming longtime hardware chief John Ternus as its next CEO, succeeding Tim Cook. Reuters also led on the effective date and that Cook will stay through the summer to oversee the transition. Apple shares slipped about 0.5% after markets closed, after rising roughly 1% in regular trading.
